Light It Up Like Vegas

FOX Sports Ohio is thrilled to offer a unique Cavs preseason special featuring Mike Polk called Light it up Like Vegas. Light it up Like Vegas, presented by Yes on Issue 3 and Labatt, is the story of a Cleveland sports fan who's tired of being disappointed. While he struggles with the decision of whether or not to leave his hometown for a bigger market, he is given hope in a futuristic glimpse of Cleveland after the Cavaliers win an NBA Championship.

Created by EMMY Award winning Producer and Director Leo Simone, this 60-minute program features local comedians Mike Polk and Chad Zumock, community activist and artist Rashad Jabri as well as a cameo appearance by Wayne Newton.

We hosted an exclusive screening event at Cleveland's PlayhouseSquare Allen Theater in which over 700 fans were treated to a private premiere of the show. It hits the air Oct. 26 at 9pm.

Columbus Blue Jackets fans will have the chance to Carry the Flag to Chicago, presented by IGS Energy!

FOX SupPORTS OHIO

FOX Sports Ohio recently reaffirmed its presence in the community by creating the FOX SupPORTS OHIO program. The program’s mission is: To make a positive impact in the communities we serve by engaging our audiences, raising awareness and creating charitable partnerships. This program provides one cohesive brand name for all of FSO’s volunteer activities and charitable contributions.


In addition to its already established charitable activities, FOX Sports Ohio is launching a new fundraising campaign that will run from October 27 thru December 31 called the Season of Support. This campaign will raise funds for the Cleveland Foundation’s MyCom program through a series of PSAs, vignettes and features.

MyCom, which stands for My Commitment, My Community, coordinates the work of many local community partners to deliver programs and services to young people in Greater Cleveland. These community partners are committed to providing kids with positive experiences and caring adults they need to reach their full potential.

Viewers who watch Cavaliers Live on 10/31, 11/3, 11/17, 12/4 and 12/11 will learn more information about this amazing initiative.

Smart Fans get on Cam

FOX Sports Ohio and Bud Light are hosting Blue Jackets pre-game events downtown Columbus. Blue Jackets fans will have the chance to answer Jackets trivia questions that will air during Blue Jackets Live post-game shows throughout the week. T-shirts, posters, hats, key-chains and more will also be given away!

Tip-Tober Returns

As the Cleveland Cavaliers gear up for an XL season, FOX Sports Ohio helps get fans ready too by featuring special Cavs programming throughout the month of October, or “Tip-tober.”

During Tip-tober, the network prepares for the Cavs season with three Cavaliers Showcase replays, two Cavs’ preseason games, Cavaliers Roundtable: Shaq Edition, Cavaliers Roundtable: LeBron Edition, Cavaliers Live: Season Preview, and more!

Honda Presents...

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to announce it signed on the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers as the 2009-10 presenting sponsor of the network’s college sports programming, including Xavier University Musketeer basketball and University of Cincinnati Bearcat football and basketball programming.

Through this one-year deal as presenting sponsor, Honda will receive a tremendous amount of media value that includes traditional commercial inventory and unique on air elements. The Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers will also be featured on local bus wraps and US Bank Arena LED signage as well as other promotional elements.
