REDS FAN CAMS RETURN Attend these pregame events at the Holy Grail at the Banks for a chance to be on FOX Sports Ohio!



While the Cincinnati Reds prepare for the 2013 season, FOX Sports Ohio gets ready to bring Reds viewers yet another season of entertaining and interactive Reds game telecasts. Ohio’s leading sports network has once again teamed up with Budweiser for the return of Reds Fan Cams.

Throughout the Reds season, FOX Sports Ohio and Budweiser will be hosting pregame events at the Holy Grail at the Banks. Reds fans will have the chance to be recorded asking baseball questions that will later be answered on-air during Reds Live post-game shows throughout the week. Prizes will also be given away at every event.

The first Reds Fan Cam of the 2013 season will take place on the Reds home opener, Monday, April 1st from 1pm to 3pm.

FOX Sports Ohio and the Columbus Blue Jackets feature “Shootout Showcase” Presented by Scotts Miracle-Gro



FOX Sports Ohio and the Columbus Blue Jackets are excited to once again feature youth hockey players from all over Ohio in the return of the “Shootout Showcase,” presented by Scotts Miracle-Gro.

This season, sixteen youth hockey clubs from around the state entered teams to compete in the single elimination shootout tournament. Each team consists of three shooters and one goalie. The following organizations will be represented: The Columbus Chill Youth Hockey Association, Columbus Blue Jackets Girls Hockey, Easton Youth Hockey Association, Newark Ice Hockey Association, Columbus Ice Hockey Club, Capital Amateur Hockey Association, North Kentucky Youth Hockey Association, Butler County Youth Hockey Association, Findlay Amateur Hockey Association, and Troy Bruins Youth Hockey.

On this Friday, March 1st, when the Blue Jackets head to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks at 8:30pm, FOX Sports Ohio will air the first shootout during the Blue Jackets Live pregame show at 8pm. Highlights from this first shootout between Easton Youth Hockey Association and Columbus Blue Jackets Girls Hockey will also air during an intermission and in the postgame edition of Blue Jackets Live.

The network will continue to air one shootout every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Blue Jackets game through Sunday, April 21st, whittling down to the final two teams. The final two teams will compete live at Nationwide Arena on Saturday, April 27th, when the Jackets host the Predators at 7pm. FOX Sports Ohio will televise the final shootout live.

All of the shootout segments will also be available on FOXSportsOhio.com and BlueJackets.com.

The “Shootout Showcase” will additionally be featured with a recap during Slap Shots, the 30-minute week-in-review magazine show that highlights the Jackets recent matchups. A new episode of Slap Shots airs on FOX Sports Ohio every Monday at 6pm.

FOX Sports Ohio Invites Reds Fans on a “Road Trip to Opening Day”


As FOX Sports Ohio begins its "March to Reds Opening Day," Reds fans are invited to come on out and join the network on a "Road Trip to Opening Day."

Throughout the month of March, leading up to Reds Opening Day on Monday, April 1st, FOX Sports Ohio and the FOX Sports Ohio Girls will be out at various destinations and venues throughout Cincinnati to mingle with Reds fans and get excited about the season!

Every Wednesday and Friday between March 6th and March 29th, look to see FOX Sports Ohio's event team out in the community playing games, giving away prizes and gathering video of fans talking about the Reds.

Announcing the 2013 Columbus Crew TV Schedule

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to announce it will produce and televise 32 Columbus Crew soccer games this season.
 


The network kicks off the season with the Crew’s 2013 MLS campaign opener on the road Saturday, March 2, against Chivas USA. The team then heads to the Pacific Northwest to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC on March 9 before opening Crew Stadium for the new season on March 16 against the defending MLS Supporters’Shield winners, the San Jose Earthquakes. Dwight Burgess, the original “Voice of the Crew,” returns to the booth to call all the action along-side play-by-play announcer and club icon Duncan Oughton with analysis. Joining them once again on home telecasts will be sideline reporter Ashleigh Ignelzi.
 
 

Cincinnati Reds 2013 Coverage

FOX Sports Ohio today announced its 145-game Cincinnati Reds television schedule for 2013. The Reds regular season begins with their home opener on Monday, April 1st at 4pm against the LA Angels at Great American Ball Park. The entire schedule is HERE.
The network will kick off its coverage of the home opener at 3pm with a special hour-long Reds Live pregame show, presented by Ray St. Clair Roofing. Jim Day and Jeff Piecoro will take the field to feature all the Opening Day festivities. FOX Sports Ohio is also happy to partner with Local 12 WKRC-TV to simulcast Reds Opening Day.
 
FOX Sports Ohio will continue its comprehensive pregame coverage of the Reds all season long with the return of Reds Live featuring co-hosts Day and Piecoro and feature reporter Brian Giesenschlag. The pregame edition of Reds Live, presented by Ray St. Clair Roofing, will once again provide fans with commentary, features, and in-depth pregame coverage of the Reds 30 minutes prior to every game telecast. Immediately following the final out of each game, the post-game edition of Reds Live, presented by Kings Honda, will feature highlights, player interviews and analysis.
Play-by-play announcers Thom Brennaman, Jim Kelch, and George Grande, and color analysts Chris Welsh and Jeff Brantley will once again return to the booth to call all the action this season.

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to announce a new show, Reds Weekly, presented by Safe Auto, premiering Wednesday, April 3rd at 6pm. This new 30 minute show every Wednesday at 6pm will not only break down future match-ups and recaps previous games, but it will also feature the best interviews, highlights, and more.

SportsTime Ohio Announces Cleveland Indians Spring Training Coverage


As the Cleveland Indians head to Goodyear, Arizona in preparation for the 2013 season, SportsTime Ohio is excited to provide in-depth coverage of Indians Spring Training.

FOX Sports Ohio enjoys bringing the Cleveland Cavaliers into the homes of thousands of Cavs fans through television. Now, the network is excited to be able to bring fans to see the Cavs in action at The Q on the CavsFan Express.

With the FOX Sports Ohio Cavs Fan Express, groups of fans can now ride in style to watch their favorite team play at Quicken Loans Arena. Fans can’t miss the giant bus with its oversized images of Moondog on the outside. On the inside, riders will enjoy Wifi, entertainment, snacks and beverages, and other FOX Sports Ohio and Cavs goodies.

Great Cleveland Sports Awards

The FOX Sports Ohio Girls Hallie & Sara attended the 2013 Greater Cleveland Sports Awards on Jan. 24, 2013 at the Cleveland Renaissance Hotel Ballroom. Hosted by sportscaster Scott Van Pelt, the event is a special night in Cleveland where local athletes of all levels are recognized. Hallie & Sara presented the Golden Ticket Winner and got to meet several local and national celebrities in attendance.
