Last night’s Cavs game highest rated non-simulcast game this season

The Cavs won their eighth straight game last night in an instant classic, forever-memorable 99-94 victory over the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. Not only did Kyrie Irving set a franchise record with 11 3-pointers in his 55 point-game, but the game set a new high for a 2014-15 game rating on FOX Sports Ohio.

·        According to Nielsen, the game delivered an 11.5 HH rating in Cleveland on FOX Sports Ohio, reaching approx. 170,000 households. This is the highest rated non-simulcast game so far this season.

·        The game peaked at a 15.79 HH in the last quarter hour (232,000 households) and averaged over a 13.5 HH from 8:00pm on (198,000 households).

·        Cavaliers Live postgame show delivered a 5.13 HH.

·        The top-rated games so far this season:
1.     Jan. 27 @ Detroit Pistons – 12.6 HH (simulcast on WUAB)
2.     Jan. 28 vs. Trail Blazers – 11.5 HH
3.     Dec. 9 vs. Raptors – 9.86 HH


·        The Cavs are averaging a 7.1 HH in Cleveland on FOX Sports Ohio, up +141% compared to last year’s same-game average.

Tribe Report: Town Hall Meeting Debuts Tomorrow at 7:00pm on SportsTime Ohio

Xavier Musketeers Men’s Basketball tomorrow at 7:00pm on FOX Sports Ohio

Tune in to FOX Sports Ohio tomorrow at 7:00pm for Xavier University men’s basketball @ Providence Friars.

The game will replay tomorrow night at 12 midnight as well as on Friday, Jan. 23rd at 12 noon.

Join FOX Sports Ohio Girl Kristine this Thursday at the Reds Caravan Stop at Polaris in Columbus

The 2015 Cincinnati Reds Caravan kicks off Thursday, Jan. 22 and is scheduled to make 17 fan stops in five states covering 3,300 miles over four days.

The tour provides fans with the opportunity to interact with current and former players, broadcasters and members of the Reds front office staff. At each fan stop, the group will field questions from fans and sign autographs while time allows.

Kristine, the FOX Sports Ohio Girl, is thrilled to appear at the stop this Thursday, Jan. 22 to meet Reds fans and share in the anticipation and excitement of the Reds 2015 season.

As the city of Columbus prepares to roll out the red carpet for the 2015 NHL All-Star Game, FOX Sports Ohio and SportsTime Ohio are pleased to announce special Columbus All-Star Live programming starting Monday, January 19th and airing daily leading up to the All-Star Game on Sunday, January 25th.

Starting Monday, the networks will anchor live from the Columbus Blue Jackets All-Star Winter Park , presented by Worthington Industries, across the street from Nationwide Arena. FOX Sports Ohio’s Blue Jackets broadcasters Jody Shelley, Jeff Rimer, Dave Maetzold, Bill Davidge and Brian Giesenschlag all have a role in the special coverage.

Programming highlights include two special hour-long shows, Revealed: Brandon Dubinsky and Revealed: John Davidson, which take viewers behind the scenes and get up close and personal with the Blue Jackets center and team president of hockey operations. In addition to the final Blue Jackets games before the All-Star break, the lineup includes the following shows all live from the set at Winter Park: Blue Jackets Live pre- and postgame coverage; Columbus All-Star Live, live coverage of the events and celebration leading up to the NHL All-Star Game; and SportsTime Ohio’s popular sports talk show Drennan Live. Tomorrow at 8:00pm, FOX Sports Ohio will replay the Cavs-Lakers game from December 19, 1990

As the Cavs wrap up their west coast road trip, FOX Sports Ohio will take fans back to 1990 when the Cavs hosted the L.A. Lakers at the Richfield Coliseum in an exciting game that resulted in a Cavs win. Don’t miss the re-air of the Cavs-Lakers game from December 19, 1990 tomorrow at 8:00pm on FOX Sports Ohio.

Coached by Hall of Famer Lenny Wilkens, the Cavs starters were All-Star Brad Daugherty, Larry Nancy, Craig Ehlo, Chucky Brown and Steve Kerr. Nance had 26 points, and both he and Daugherty had 15 rebounds to lead the Cavs to the 84-74 win.

The Lakers started Hall of Famers Magic Johnson and James Worthy along with Sam Perkins, Byron Scott and Vlade Divac. Johnson led with 15 assists.

Last night’s Blue Jackets game fourth highest rated game this season | Ratings up 63%

The Blue Jackets 4-2 victory over the Stars last night is the fourth highest rated game so far this season on FOX Sports Ohio.

The game delivered a 1.44 HH rating in Columbus on FOX Sports Ohio, reaching over 13,000 households.

The other top-rated games so far this season:
1.     Dec. 16 @ Red Wings – 2.47 HH
2.     Dec. 13 vs. Penguins – 1.83 HH
3.     Dec. 18 vs. Capitals – 1.65 HH

The Jackets are averaging a 0.88 HH in Columbus on FOX Sports Ohio, up +63% compared to last year’s same-game average.

The Jackets are 18-17-3, fifth place in Metropolitan Division. In their last 15 games, they've gone 12-2-1 for 25 points. The Jackets are six points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second wild card position and eight points behind the Washington Capitals for third place in the Metropolitan Division.


They close out the four-game road trip on Friday in Toronto. Blue Jackets Live pregame is at 7:00pm. Puck drops at 7:30pm.
